yeah for this volume leon's personality was to my liking as well but then it changed, in a bad way, wont describe how but what he experienced is something that no matter how much of a scaredy cat someone is, they would be pissed off but he endured it did not explain exactly but you could still consider it a spoiler as i explained it, ofc in a way that i did not mention details nor events. someone that has read LN do take a look and see if it spoils, need another's opinion and if it's all good to go do reply with that so that others can read it

basically, he gets imprisoned in prison by queen milene, to protect him from one of the counts that wants to get rid of him, who is stupid enough to ignore the foreign threats just to deal with one kid. and leon does not put up any resistance against this, stays put for days in prison while it all could have been easily solved by killing said count and his faction members, luxion is strong enough to eradicate world so that is not a problem for him. endures all insults, etc not doing a thing only to happily go back once they release him to stop principality, one of the foreign nations, from destroying the kingdom. P.S it was also coz of that volume that i dropped the novel, technically i did 'finish' the novel as first game (one that mc played in his previous life) concluded in that novel, volumes after that are just eh going downwards from what i heard and somehow due to side stories ppl come to like marie.

killing that count isn't even a solution to be honest. Going by the laws and actual logic that would be the worst solution to that situation. Sure he isn't the smartest guy around nor the "good guy" but he at least knows that killing isn't a solution. Going by the most simple logic just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. If he showed people that he can just dispose of his problems everybody would unite against him since he suddenly becomes the biggest problem around and that is the opposite of what he wants. He just want to live a slow life away from problems. Being feared by everybody would simply make it unachivable. Sure Luxion can "remake" the world for him but that would only create more problems which he constantly tries to avoid (Often creating more in the process)

Since he did this, he was able to easily deal with said Count after being let out. Had he just killed him like what the other guy suggested, his faction might've Martyr him, and that's a whole new problem

you dont get my point, but you will see it in the future. Luxion even reprimands Leon in the future saying that it got to this point because he was soft, if he could steel himself and not spare people it would not end up like that. its not a solution i know it was just an example, basically what i was saying is that he is too much of a softie, especially when he tries to act as a bad guy

Luxion also suggested razing the country to the ground so I wouldn't take his advice on many things as a viable proposition but I do agree on him being too much of a softie. While it does work out for him because if he was a ruthless villain he'd have a lot more enemies. I don't count the school because it's full of retarded rich kids and I see no wrong in exploiting them.

Lets be real here though, not everyone suddenly wants to murder someone out of fun just by reincarnating now, would it? Unless ofc youre a serial killer yourself. So lets say his previous life and his current life attitude is intersecting one another.

Marie's part will come pretty much an arc later from the next one. Least it starts from there formulating all the stuff behind her and Leon's past. Leon wasn't as nice as we see him made out to be to Marie in their past life who is his little sister. She'd look for his attention and he'd treat her poorly for it while growing up and Marie ended up working at a strip bar to get by as an adult where she treated Leon similar to how he treated her growing up. In the Otome game she tries to use the 5 bachelor's to get by as her life isn't actually that great in the Otome game and she is required to pay back for her schooling even. Her family isn't that wealthy either. She ends up playing mom because the 5 bachelors got no sense to be able to manage themselves. Her slave is more like a brother figure who supports her. She isn't too respectful to him but he respects her enough and looks down on Leon.

It is really minor plot point, he isn't a hardcore warrior, he kills only when it is necessary.
